Dix.Hite is leading the design team in a master planning effort aimed at generating catalytic development opportunities in Trussville, Alabama’s downtown. Dix.Hite has been tasked with the planning and design of the streetscape, pedestrian, park, and greenway connections, as well as signage and wayfinding. The revitalization has been initiated with a facade improvement plan facilitated by the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. Dix.Hite’s plans relate closely with this initiative, utilizing design elements and materials which were unique to the local region and history of Trussville in order to create an overall cohesive aesthetic and identity for the downtown community. This project is currently under construction.
