This Birmingham residence has a view like no other. Every design move was to create and enhance spaces to partake of the majestic view. Because of the narrow site, space was at a premium. The design response was to compose a series of rooms which would respond to the owner’s program as well as the site constraints and the architecture; enhancing the flow from the house to the garden and the viewing opportunities from the interior rooms. Dix.Hite designed the motor court, bocce court, cloud pavilion cantilevering the cliff, sunning terrace, and fire lounge - all overlooking the valley.
