GreenLink Orlando, Florida

Greenlink is a linear park system connecting the residential and commercial zones of the Lake Nona region with a daylighted stormwater conveyance as its central feature. Greenlink strives to accommodate a wide range of uses for the community. Water (its management and celebration) and alternative, active transportation are central to the corridor’s function. Central to Greenlink is a highly interactive public square where social interaction is the goal. A native landscape and urban forest serve to celebrate the historic landscapes of Lake Nona, cleanse water, and enhance wildlife habitat. Greenlink features a series of park rooms for recreation, fitness, relaxation, and education, all connected by a multi-modal trail and autonomous vehicle circulation which link directly to Lake Nona Town Center and adjacent neighborhoods. Dix.Hite is also working to design the Autonomous Vehicle and Bicycle Transportation Network in Lake Nona, which includes the Greenlink area. The network will offer active and AV transportation options that will connect residents to the entire region of Lake Nona.
