Central Station Orlando, Florida

At 6.4 acres, the Central Station site was the largest remaining undeveloped tract in the heart of downtown Orlando. The block, located alongside the commuter rail platform and bus station downtown, contains a 6-story, 279-unit mixed-use, transit-oriented development. Dix.Hite led the public-realm design for the project park, plaza and trail, which provide connections to the transit center and courthouse and incorporate the downtown portion of Orlando’s regional bikeway system. Dix.Hite also provided detailed design for the streetscape and the mixed-use development’s interior courtyard and amenities.
