One of my favorite books is The Lorax. As a landscape architect and arborist, I consider myself a professional tree hugger who is often called to "speak for the trees" like the character in the Dr. Suess children’s book.

Located within one of the most biologically diverse estuaries in North America, the Indian River Lagoon is home to more than 4,300 plant and animal species.
