Katy Magruder

Katy is a sixth-generation Central Floridian whose career has been dedicated to shaping the community she calls home. With more than a decade of experience in both public and private sectors, she brings expertise in redevelopment and infill strategies, placemaking, master planning, specialized plans, overlays, and land development codes. Her background gives her a clear understanding of how regulations impact developers, and she thrives at balancing private development needs with public priorities. She is passionate about creating places that foster human connection and belonging, believing that well-designed public spaces can enrich everyday life.

Beyond her professional work, Katy is engaged with her community as a member of the Audubon Park Garden District Main Street and Orlando Hospitality Alliance Board of Directors. You can often find her exploring hidden gems around Central Florida by bike or kayak, volunteering, or cooking up new recipes with fresh herbs and veggies she’s grown herself.
