PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

As our Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financials related to our projects, supporting our Project Managers so they can focus on delivering the best projects at the highest quality, on time, and on budget.  You will be involved in the process from inception, providing analysis and input during the contract negotiations phase, and will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the projects, ensuring that the project billings are accurate and timely, project expenses are correctly allocated, and receivables are collected.  A key part of the job is data analysis and preparation of accurate financials to track the progress of the projects against project budgets.  You will have the chance to combine your powers of organization, problem solving and care-giving to make our Project Managers jobs just a little bit easier

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or relevant degree and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial/project accounting and analysis or similar position.  Your education and training, along with the knowledge you’ve gained through your years of experience, makes you the ideal go-to support for internal and external clients.   Deltek Ajera experience is highly desired - administrative user ERP experience will be given preference.

What would a typical day look like for you? Working independently and in collaboration with PMs, you’ll be setting up and monitoring projects in Deltek Ajera, assisting with contract negotiations, reviewing proposals, coordinating sub-consultant contracts, coordinating project insurance, preparing client invoices and helping clients resolve issues (often making it easier for them to pay those invoices you prepared!)  You will be the person our Project Managers cannot do without!
