Award-Winning Landscape Architecture Firm Welcomes Established

(Longwood, Fla.) – Dix.Hite + Partners has welcomed longtime industry leader Sharon Lamantia to the firm as Director of Operations.

Lamantia brings more than 30 years of experience in project delivery and strategic planning in the architecture, engineering and design field. She most recently was Operations Leader for AECOM, a global, 80,000-person professional services company.

Dix.Hite is a firm of 35 people providing landscape architecture and public-realm design for clients throughout the world, with a focus on the southeastern U.S. Founded in 1996, the firm is a woman-owned company with studios in Longwood, Florida, Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. The firm has won awards for sustainable development design, master-planned communities that connect people to nature, destination-quality parks, public trails, mixed-use urban projects and multi-family development.

“Sharon’s significant knowledge of the industry and her business relationships are incredible assets that will help as our firm grows,” said Christina Hite, PLA, LEED-AP, president of Dix.Hite.

Lamantia noted that her experience is directly applicable to the breadth and impact of Dix.Hite’s projects.

“I create systems for ensuring that as we experience organic growth, our professionals can keep the focus where it belongs: on clients and projects,” Lamantia said.

Lamantia earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from The Ohio State University. Originally from Rocky River, a small town near Cleveland, Ohio, she and her husband raised their two adults sons in Florida. She recently has begun bicycling for recreation and also has returned to a previous passion: horseback riding.
