Local Landscape Architecture Firm Names a New Principal
(Longwood, Fla.) – The award-winning landscape architecture firm of Dix.Hite + Partners announced this week the promotion of Scott Toschlog, ASLA, LEED-AP to the position of a principal of the firm. The 32-person firm, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Longwood, Fla., now has eight principals.
Toschlog has practiced landscape architecture since 2000 and joined Dix.Hite in 2004. He specializes in multi-family residential development, site planning, park master planning, student housing for college communities and detailed landscape and hardscape design. His work spans from Florida to Arizona, including projects in Mississippi, Texas and North Carolina.
“Over and over again, Scott has impressed our clients with his ability to solve unique challenges with great design,” said Christina Hite, president of Dix.Hite. “He sets a standard of excellence for service to the clients that we hold as a model within the firm. We are honored to have him as a principal helping lead our vision for the future.”
Toschlog brings his unique design solutions to all of his projects, and is particularly fond of opportunities to create site plans.
“Through site planning, I’m creating the framework for establishing a sense of place, I’m starting an initial vision,” Toschlog said. “I see every site plan as a puzzle and I’m working the pieces to get everything in the right location, so the end product is a great place that in some way makes life better for whomever is using it.”
Toschlog is a professionally licensed landscape architect who also is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP.) He is a graduate of the Purdue University landscape architecture program and grew up in Centerville, Indiana.
